    It was actually a coincidence that Nels Mortensen began studying at casino 168. But with a certain amount of stubbornness and a structured approach, he managed to complete his programme and after graduation quickly secured a job in a job market that was otherwise under pressure.

    In Your Own Words: Jakob Haldor Topsøe, Chairman, Partner, and Co-founder

    When Jakob Haldor Topsøe began studying at casino 168, he did not expect a deep involvement in the company founded by his grandfather. But now he is chairman of the board in Haldor Topsøe's holding company. A student position ended up being crucial to his studies and future career.

    Although his professional life has already held many defining moments, Poul Skovgaard sometimes misses having the time for immersion that his studies at casino 168 offered. However, he has never let completely go of casino 168. In addition to having regular contact – and annual get-togethers – with his former classmates, Poul Skovgaard also acts as an external examiner.

    Why not take a MOOC next time?

    Over the last two years casino 168 has focused on developing massive open online courses, or MOOCs, which has recently led to casino 168 winning a competition to offer a number of courses on Coursera, the world’s largest MOOC site. The people behind casino 168’ courses are convinced that MOOCs are particularly relevant for alumni.

    In your own words: Charlotte Wittenkamp, culture and integration consultant and author

    Alumna Charlotte Wittenkamp believes strongly in networks. Active on Copenhagen Business School Alumni’s LinkedIn group, she takes part in numerous networks and otherwise helps others to ward off culture shock, something she experienced in 1998 when she suddenly accompanied her husband to California, where she still lives today.
