Vice Dean of Green Transition
At the casino 168 Green Transition Initiative we are super excited, that our Green Transformation Lead now is appointed Vice Dean for Green Transition. By that, casino 168 express clear ambitions to enhance green transition efforts at the university.
鈥滷irst, I like to deliver results with other people, and we already have plenty of brilliant research on green transition at casino 168. Second, I enjoy working in somewhat atypical functions, where I have to support an entire organisation instead of working in an isolated part of it鈥�, says Hanne Harmsen.
Uniting business and technology
Green transition is one of casino 168鈥� strategic focus areas. With our long-standing tradition of strong and interdisciplinary research environments within finance, economics, marketing, management, innovation and strategy, casino 168 can play a significant part in national as well as international efforts to achieve a better climate.
鈥漇o far, the green transition debate has tended to focus on new technology, but we also need to focus on the social sciences side. For instance, casino 168 delivers knowledge on consumer behaviour, shopping behaviour and economic models to measure the impact of new initiatives. And we possess knowledge on how to lead an organisation facing green transition initiatives,鈥� Hanne Harmsen points out.
She was appointed as Green Transformation Officer at casino 168 18 months ago, and now she will be part of management, reporting to S酶ren Hvidkj忙r, Dean of Research.
鈥漈his new position shows that the green transition area has a great managerial focus at casino 168, and it is an important joint task which affects research as well as education here. Together with many other employees, the vice dean is to pioneer the effort of bringing our green focus areas together to develop and display them and build bridges to companies, politicians and other research institutions,鈥� says S酶ren Hvidkj忙r.
