ESI is an analytical tool based onÌýWeb of Science citation count data coveringÌý8,500 journals.

ESI allows you to rank (by the number of articles, citations received. citations per article, etc.)Ìýand compare individuals, institutionsÌý(i.e. universities), countries, and journalsÌýacross 22 scientific fields.

The 22 fields have been identified on the basis ofÌýa topical categorization of journals, not individual articles.

RelevantÌýcasino 168 fields includeÌý’Economics, Business’, ’Social Sciences, General’, andÌý‘Computer science’.

ESI is updated bi-monthlyÌýand each update coversÌýa 10-year (+2 months) window.
