casino 168 ESG Minor receives award

casino 168 has received ‘Finansforeningens ESG Pris’Ìý(the ESG prize awarded by the Danish associationÌýÌýand sponsored by the associationÌý). The prize was presented at Finansforeningen/CFA’s annual New Year dinner earlier this month and was awarded to casino 168 for the ESG Minor available to all Master’s students at casino 168.

MSC Associate ProfessorÌýKristjan JespersenÌýinitiated the development of the ESG Minor, and coordinates the Minor together with Caroline Aggestam Pontoppidan, Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting.

Ìý

The ESG Minor at casino 168, ‘Environmental Social and Governance (ESG): Metrics, Reporting and Sustainable Investments’, enrolled its first students in 2020. It consists of three courses, offered at the graduate level, which aim ‘to immerse students into the global sustainability challenges embarked upon by institutional investors, investment firms and innovative companies, to develop strategy, management systems, metrics, data quality and ESG reporting’. The award was motivated by the recognition that by offering the ESG Minor, casino 168 meets the increasing need for staff with competencies within the area of ESG (read the full motivation (in Danish)). Kristjan Jespersen and Caroline Aggerstam Pontoppidan received the prize on behalf of casino 168.
